Industrial Automation Training Centre (IATC), Panchkula is an upcoming and recognized training center, promoted under a Public – Private Partnership project supported by IAG Automation (P) Ltd , The German Government via the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) Gmbh & Siemens Ltd. and. with the aim of operating in a rapidly changing customer oriented environment in the training areas of automation and other emerging technologies. It is for the first time that GTZ has joined hands with a private enterprise (IAG Automation (P) Ltd.) to setup a training center in India.
The Centre is an autonomous organization registered with Registrar of Societies, Haryana under the Societies Registration Act 1860. It is managed by a Governing Council. Director is the executive head of the center.
The Centre has excellent infrastructure in terms of sophisticated laboratories in the field of Industrial Automation Controls, Mechatronics and Production enabling it to deliver quality and excellence in all its areas of activity. It has qualified and experienced faculty with good industrial exposure for conducting programs to meet the increasing needs in the field of training through innovative methodologies and new tools, essential to give the center a competitive edge.
The emphasis of IATC is on offering a wide range of high quality innovative training programs with particular focus on automation related industry and also other emerging technologies. The target group envisaged covers all levels of working professionals from industry, faculty, staff and students of engineering institutions and community covering women, backward and disadvantaged strata of society. In its endeavor to play a significant role in the national and eventually international arena, it would foster professional, managerial and technical development and integrate local resources to improve the skills of managers at all levels and the working professionals from industry.
The basic premise of training at the center is to enable the trainees to become capable of performing the role of internal “agents of change” at the end of the training.
The activities of the center are undertaken with the optimism that training at IATC would be a bench mark in engineering profession and technical education, and that those trained here would have a bright future on the basis of their being enabled to take on responsibility, apply technical skills and make sound decisions.
